Choosing Starter or step by step

Your customer designs their product in one of two configurators. You choose which one. You can switch whenever you like; your prices, dimensions and options stay as they are.

Choosing which configurator your customer gets

1. Open Configurators or the Studio.

   You will find the choice under CatalogConfigurators and in the Studio under Appearance. It is the same setting.

2. Choose Starter or Step by step.

   Your choice goes live for your customers straight away. You do not need to publish.

3. Open your configurator in a private window.

   That way you see what a new visitor sees.

Old links with flow=v1 keep working and also open Starter.

What your customer sees in step by step

• First the size, then the roof. A roof that does not fit the chosen size is greyed out, with the reason and a tip to pick a smaller size. Nothing is ever switched for your customer without them knowing.
• A choice that is not possible cannot be picked. Which sizes are possible comes from your own dimensions and price tables.
• At every step the picture turns to the part your customer is choosing, for example a view from above for the roof.
• If a colour or roof is not available in the picture yet, the picture says so ("Colour not yet shown in the picture"). Your customer never silently sees a different colour.

Who can change this

You need the Configurator kiezen (Starter of stap-voor-stap) permission (choose the configurator). Owners and administrators have it by default. Permission names are shown in Dutch. You set them per role or per person under SettingsRoles and permissions.
