Choices without a surcharge, such as Open and None

Choices like an open front, no sunshade or No add nothing to the price. How that works in your price tables, and how to charge for them anyway.

Some choices in the configurator cost nothing extra. An open front, no sunshade or no lighting: your customer leaves something out rather than adding a product. You do not need to fill in a price for these choices.

How to recognise them

In your price tables under CatalogPricing such a choice shows as one quiet line: No surcharge, this choice adds nothing. There are no price fields to fill in.

These choices:

  • count as € 0 in the configurator and on the quote;
  • never count as a missing price, so you get no notice about them.

Charging a price anyway

If you do charge something, for example a discount when your customer fits it themselves, click Charge a price anyway. The line gets normal price fields and the choice counts with your price. Enter a discount as a negative amount.

With Back to no surcharge you switch it back. Your prices are kept. If you charge a price again later, they are still there.

Had you already entered a price?

If you already had a price for such a choice, meetpiloot simply keeps using it. Nothing changes in your existing quotes or prices.

Who can change this

You need the Prijslijst wijzigen permission (edit the price list) to switch a price on or off. Permission names are shown in Dutch.
