What you need

  • An AI assistant that supports MCP, such as Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, VS Code or Cursor
  • The Connect an AI assistant right in meetpiloot
  • Plus or Pro

With the connection you work with your customers and leads from your AI assistant. You type what you are looking for, such as a name, a phone number or a postcode with a house number, and your assistant finds the customer, the lead, the order or the invoice. You can ask for a start-of-day overview or for the quotes that need chasing, or tell it after a round of calls what should happen next. Your assistant prepares those changes and meetpiloot only carries them out once you agree.

What your assistant can and cannot do

Your assistant can read what you can see in meetpiloot yourself: customers, leads, quotes, orders, invoices, the calendar and the catalogue. Fields your role cannot see, such as phone numbers or amounts, stay hidden from your assistant too. Instead of empty fields, it is told that you do not have access to them.

Your assistant can propose changes: create or update a lead, move a lead to another stage, add a call attempt or a note, change customer details or tags, and link a lead to a customer.

Through the connection nobody can send anything to your customers, schedule appointments, make payments or delete anything. A connection belongs to one company; if you have more than one, you choose which when you connect.

Connecting in Claude on the web, in the app and in Desktop

  1. Open Claude and go to Settings, Connectors.

    That is where custom connectors live.

  2. Choose Add custom connector and paste the address.

    The address is https://meetpiloot.nl/api/mcp. You also find it in meetpiloot under IntegrationsAI assistants, with a button to copy it.

  3. Click Connect, sign in to meetpiloot and choose Give access.

    You see which company you connect and what Claude may do. You are then taken back to Claude automatically.

On Claude Team or Enterprise, the admin of your Claude account adds the connector once. After that everyone connects for themselves, with their own meetpiloot account.

Connecting in Claude Code

Type in your terminal:

claude mcp add --transport http meetpiloot https://meetpiloot.nl/api/mcp

Start Claude Code and type /mcp to sign in to meetpiloot.

Connecting in ChatGPT

In ChatGPT, open the Plugins page, choose the plus button and then Add custom MCP server. Name it meetpiloot, enter the address https://meetpiloot.nl/api/mcp and choose OAuth to sign in. Accept the warning and choose Create as a plugin. Then install the plugin, sign in to meetpiloot and choose Give access. Whether you can add your own MCP servers depends on your ChatGPT plan and your workspace's rules.

Connecting in VS Code

In VS Code, run the command MCP: Add Server, choose HTTP and paste https://meetpiloot.nl/api/mcp. Name the server meetpiloot. You can also put it in .vscode/mcp.json yourself:

JSON
{ "servers": { "meetpiloot": { "type": "http", "url": "https://meetpiloot.nl/api/mcp" } } }

When VS Code asks you to sign in, sign in to meetpiloot and choose Give access.

Connecting in Cursor

Add meetpiloot to Cursor's mcp.json, for example ~/.cursor/mcp.json:

JSON
{ "mcpServers": { "meetpiloot": { "url": "https://meetpiloot.nl/api/mcp" } } }

Save the file. When Cursor asks you to sign in, sign in to meetpiloot and choose Give access.

Other assistants

If your assistant runs on your own computer and supports MCP with OAuth, such as Codex or Gemini CLI, add it with the same address. An assistant on the web that is not listed above cannot connect yet.

When you connect, you always see who is asking for access. If the connection goes to a program on your own computer, a warning comes with it: any program on that computer can ask for access this way. So only connect if you just started the program yourself. On that screen, a program meetpiloot does not recognise is shown as a program on this device, with the name it gives itself marked as not verified. In your connections, the log and the emails it is called a local program, because you might read those on another device.

Proposals and confirmation

Your assistant changes nothing in a single step. Every change goes into a proposal first: one list of everything it wants to do, with what changes on each line. That way, after a round of calls, six things get done in one go. Your assistant then carries out the proposal with the step Carry out changes. At that moment meetpiloot also checks again whether you may still do it and whether someone changed the lead or customer in the meantime. If so, that change is skipped instead of overwritten.

Your assistant asks you for approval for that step. Do not choose Always allow or automatic running there. That way you see what is about to happen each time and confirm it yourself. meetpiloot cannot see whether your assistant really asks, and a program on your own computer can skip the question. So only turn on changes for an assistant you trust.

Some proposals you always confirm in meetpiloot itself, on a page where your assistant cannot click:

  • marketing consent being recorded;
  • more than 5 leads moving to Lost;
  • more than 3 email addresses or phone numbers being replaced;
  • tags on more than 25 customers.

Your assistant then gives you a link.

Everything your assistant changes is in the log and on the lead, under your name. Changes to a lead or customer get the assistant's name after them there, such as "via Claude" or "via ChatGPT".

Through AI assistants, meetpiloot carries out at most 300 changes per company in any 24 hours on Plus and 1000 on Pro, for the whole team together. When you get close, your assistant is told with the proposal how many are left for today. A proposal that would go over the limit is not created. You then do the rest in meetpiloot itself, or later.

Ready-made questions

meetpiloot gives your assistant six ready-made questions. In Claude they are in the connection's menu; other assistants show them in their own way, or not at all:

  • Start of the day: what needs attention today, with your appointments for today and tomorrow.
  • Customer file: everything about one customer, even when all you have is a name or a number.
  • Round of calls: who to call today, and afterwards your call attempts and next steps in one proposal.
  • Following up quotes: quotes that were viewed but not signed, or that are about to expire.
  • Week overview: how the pipeline stands this week.
  • Preparing site surveys: tomorrow's surveys with everything you need on site.

Which rights matter

The owner sets this under SettingsRoles:

  • Connect an AI assistant: connect an AI assistant and read what you can see in meetpiloot. By default for the owner and the admin.
  • Changes through an AI assistant: have changes proposed and carried out after your approval. You also need the right for the change itself. By default only for the owner.
  • The team's AI connections: see who connected an AI assistant, end those connections and set the limits for AI assistants. By default only for the owner.

Contact details of more than 100 different people a day only go through an AI assistant if you have the Export leads or Export customers right. Without it, meetpiloot leaves out the email addresses and phone numbers after that and your assistant is told why. Everything else works as normal.

Disconnecting

Under IntegrationsAI assistants you see your connections and click Disconnect. From that moment your assistant can no longer do anything in meetpiloot. Don't see Integrations in your menu? Then add /integraties/ai-assistenten after your company's address in meetpiloot, or ask the owner to end the connection. If you have the right called The team's AI connections, you also see your colleagues' connections and can end them. Your colleague gets an email about it.

Every time you connect, you get a connection of your own, with its own line on that page. If you use the same assistant on two computers, you see two lines and can end one while the other keeps working. If you connect again in the same place, the old line stays until you end it. Each person can have ten active connections per company. When an eleventh is added, meetpiloot ends the one that has gone unused the longest.

A connection also ends automatically when you change your password, leave the team or lose the Connect an AI assistant right.

Didn't connect this yourself?

Every new connection in your company sends the owner an email. If you see a connection under Integrations, AI assistants that you do not recognise, end it straight away and change your password. Anyone who uses your assistant works with your rights.
